If  you have not yet brought this book for your toddler please do so at the earliest. This is a book not to be missed. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a simple story of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly but there are lots of things that make this book extra extra special. 

Eric Carle's art is one that is worth the mention followed by the learning concepts involved which are beautiful twined into the story. Kids will surely enjoy the colorful images and also learn the days of the week, fruits, sequencing and the life cycle of a butterfly.

It has sold 30 million copies worldwide. It has been described as having sold the equivalent of a copy per minute since its publication. It has been described as "one of the greatest childhood classics of all time." It was voted the number two children's picture book in a 2012 survey of School Library Journal readers.
