Kids Kouch Kids Furniture-Our Journey So Far

As Kids Kouch-Kids Furniture Retailer and Online Store turns 7 this month we thought it’s a good time to pause and look back through the years.

Kids Kouch was launched in 2009 as a kids furniture brand with a store in upmarket Indiranagar area of the booming Bangalore city. The city was growing in all aspects from International brand setting their foot to having more seekers for the upscale real estate properties. The concept of a separate kids bedroom was just beginning to get in when there were a lot of expat families who were returning to India due to the 2008-2009 recession.

It was tough in the beginning to sell a concept that was alien to many here. Most of the parents were happy to share their beds with their children and have their second bedroom as a guest bedroom rather than a kids bedroom. We also had incorporated a kids library with over 10,000 books and 600 toys in the same premises which complemented our kids furniture business very well. A year later we had a good percentage of our library members becoming our furniture customers.

We had kids furniture which we imported ourselves. We had built good network of distributors who supplied books for our library and also toys and educational aid suppliers. This blossomed into us being consultants and suppliers of school furniture, books and educational aids to various schools in the city and slowly expanding to the country.

From then to now we have seen a big wave of change in the mind set of people and kids. Kids are not happier sharing their parents bedroom. They want to have a space of their own, done as per their liking and their personality.  Parents are more than willing to go that extra mile to find the best products for their kids room that are trendy, safe, bright and durable. At Kids Kouch our moto is to provide every parent an opportunity to craft a dream space for their children so that every child has its own special place. We are glad we are able to live and grow up to the expectation of the parents, children and our own goals.

The main pillar of any business is not its product but the people. We have been lucky all along to have had good people working for us and working with. Our installation team is always showered with complements from our customers for their behaviour, disposition and good work. Our store staff is always there to guide the customer to make the right purchase. We are known for our prompt service.

Our product range has expanded just has our business. We started with kids bedroom sets and bunk beds and then added a whole range of kids storage options for books and toys. Our study tables for kids grew to suit all age groups starting from toddlers to teens and we now even have some study desks that are good for smart compact home offices. For kids beds we have twin size beds, toddler beds, trundle beds and loft units too. Whether it’s for a boy or a girls or siblings sharing a room we have you covered with a choice of colours to suit your theme.

May 2016, we added a new chapter to our business. It’s just been 2 months now since we took this quantum leap to launch as an e-commerce portal and make it easier for parents from all over the country to be able to order kids furniture online. With great credentials established 7 years we hope to succeed in this new venture.
