Is your child an aspiring young musician, a sportsman, a reader, a naturalist whatever the case, you should be sure at adapt your child’s room to suit these favourite activities. Children also have several hobbies like drawing, painting, board games, collecting things, reading, listening to music etc it is necessary to make spaces for these interests to have a well-organised kids room for 8 to 10 year old kids.

School plays an ever-important room in a child’s life at this age. Homework becomes unavoidable and your child will need a quiet place with his own desk where he can sit comfortably and complete this work. Now is the time to stop using the dining table or coffee table as a study table. These are not aesthetically comfortable and there will be lot of distraction for the child. Make sure a kids study table need to be large enough, comfortable and especially well-lit. Remember having direct influx of sunlight is not a good thing. If you have to place the study table in an area where a lot of sunlight falls then it’s ideal to dampen it with semi-opaque blinds or curtains. If the study table does not have space for books then it is ideal to have bookshelf nearby to put away the books and notebooks. Be sure to have an area for stationaries and you definitely don’t want them to get mixed up with their toys. As school work increases children will need to spend more time at their desks. Be sure to provide them with a study area that accommodated these higher demands. If you choose to invest in a study table for your kid at this age it has be durable and something that can be used for few years to come.

The study area is definitely a focus point at this age. A comfortable full bed to have a good night sleep cannot be ignored in a kids room for 8 to 10 year olds. Again choose a bed that your child can grow with. Children grow at an alarming pace form now on so it is good to have a full length bed that is about 6 to 6.25 feet in length. Do invest in a good mattress that is not too soft or hard. There are loads of options available these days and the thickness can be customized. Mattresses with anti-allergen material also are easily available.
